Google recently released the new topics + sign refinement options in English/US mobile search results, and is also carrying out testing of these features on desktop search results.

Glenn Gabe identified and posted a video of this on Twitter. I was able to reproduce it upon logging into Google Search, so I have included screenshots for reference which can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Google rolled out topics this week in the mobile SERPs so you can easily filter by related topics. You can add & remove those topics too. Well, I’m in a test window now with the topics ON DESKTOP.
