Agencies worth talking to if you are shortlisting a digital marketing partner in San Francisco, with what each one does and where it is based. The Bay Area's technology and SaaS companies drive much of the demand, alongside consumer and hospitality brands.

We publish this page, so rather than scoring ourselves against the agencies below, here is what we do and you can judge for yourself.
We get businesses found on Google and named inside AI answers. SEO, content and the website itself, handled by one team rather than three vendors.
Koramangala, Bengaluru, IndiaPublished by SEO Sadhu · we publish this page, so we have kept ourselves out of the ranked list below.Four things decided who made it, and one thing decided how we present ourselves.
An operating office in the city, not a nameplate address on a national website.
Everything we list comes from the agency's own site. Anything they do not publish is marked Not disclosed.
Agencies that are visibly better at something specific, rather than listing every service in existence.
Named clients published by the agency, not logo walls with no names attached.
Sorted by nothing in particular. Anything an agency does not publish is marked Not disclosed rather than guessed at.

Nine agencies serving San Francisco, each with a clear speciality. Descriptions are drawn from each agency’s own website.
The agencies with verifiably staffed San Francisco offices are mostly creative, brand and B2B specializts, clustered around Jackson Square, the Northeast Waterfront and SoMa. Many SEO and performance firms that market themselves as San Francisco agencies list only a private mailbox, coworking desk or serviced-office suite, and those are not on this list, which is why it has nine. Specializt work here leans heavily towards B2B tech, SaaS, fintech and AI-search visibility, reflecting a client base dominated by software companies.

Previsible describes itself as an AI discovery agency covering traditional search, AI overviews and LLM recommendations, with an office on 18th Street and another in Santiago, Chile. It organizes its work by industry, including SaaS, healthcare, retail and finance.
Media Cause is a nonprofit marketing agency at the Ferry Building, with further offices in Washington, DC and Atlanta. Its services run from branding and content strategy to fundraising, Google Ad Grants and influencer marketing.
HUb is a strategy, design and advertising agency on Mesa Street in the Presidio. Its work spans brand identity, video, outdoor, digital, social and demand generation.

Cutwater calls itself an independent, bi-coastal, full-service creative, media and digital agency, with an office on Battery Street and another in New York. It covers strategy, creative, media and production, including programmatic and SEO and SEM.

ARGONAUT is a full-service advertising agency on New Montgomery Street that describes itself as born in San Francisco and now also in New York. It is part of the Project network of independent agencies.
Clay describes itself as a global branding and UX design agency on Broadway, building websites, apps and brand identities, with a second office in New York. It lists fintech and Web3 among its industries.
Goodby Silverstein & Partners is a creative advertising agency on Fremont Street with a second office in New York. Its site shows campaign work across film, AI-generated content and brand partnerships.
Transmission is a B2B marketing agency with an office on Maiden Lane, offering growth consulting, brand strategy, go-to-market planning and integrated agency services across a global network.
iCrossing is a marketing and technology consultancy with a San Francisco office on Mission Street, connecting strategy, data, media, content and digital platforms for industries including manufacturing, healthcare and financial services.
Six questions worth asking whoever you shortlist.
Strong at D2C performance marketing does not mean strong at B2B SEO. Shortlist for your actual bottleneck.
The people who pitch are often not the people on the account. Ask, and ask how many other clients they carry.
Ask for a redacted monthly report. If nothing in it connects to inquiries or revenue, expect an awkward month four.
Buyers now ask assistants before search engines. Ask how they get clients named in those answers.
Notice period, and whether your ads account, analytics and website stay in your name when you leave.
Nobody controls Google. A promised position means they misunderstand that, or expect you to.
This page is published by SEO Sadhu, an SEO agency in Bangalore. We have put ourselves in a separate featured card above rather than ranking ourselves against the agencies in the list, because scoring yourself first on your own page is not a ranking.
The agencies are presented in no particular order of merit. Every fact about them comes from their own website, checked in September 2026.
